Gas fireplace serviceLevel 1 sweep and inspection to the NFPA 211 annual standard - flue, crown, cap, and flashing checked and photographed
Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
Meet the San Antonio Team Behind Hadley Chimney San Antonio
We opened our San Antonio operation in 2003, and most of the crew here has been climbing roofs and running cameras through flues for well over a decade. What keeps us together is simple: we want you to see exactly what we see before you spend a dollar. Every person on this page shows up on time, in uniform, background-checked, and carrying the same commitment to written pricing and photographic proof. No exceptions, whether it’s a $189 sweep or a full HeatShield resurfacing job.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Cory Mitchell, Owner and Lead Technician
Cory founded Hadley Chimney in 2003 and still runs the majority of San Antonio’s complicated repair jobs himself. He holds CSIA certification and specializes in DuraFlex liner systems and HeatShield ceramic repair work. He’s the one who insists every job gets camera documentation, because he’s spent twenty-plus years explaining to homeowners what a cracked flue tile actually looks like on video. On weekends you’ll find him smoking brisket on the east side and pretending his sauce recipe doesn’t need work.
Javier R., Senior Chimney Installer
Javier has been with Hadley for 14 years and leads most of the full reline work across Alamo Heights, Stone Oak, and the Dominion. He’s our go-to for stainless steel DuraFlex installations and Copperfield cap and crown fittings. Javier can read a masonry chimney’s draft issues about as fast as he can set up a staging rig, and he’s trained every apprentice we’ve hired in the last decade. He’s a Spurs season-ticket holder, though he’ll talk your ear off about the 2014 title run if you let him.
Maya T., Service Coordinator
Maya is the voice most San Antonio customers hear first when they call. She’s been with us for 8 years and runs the booking calendar, the live arrival windows, and the photo report delivery. Maya knows every neighborhood we serve well enough to quote drive times and typical fireplace setups without checking a map. Before Hadley she worked in HVAC dispatch, and honestly, she keeps the rest of us honest about showing up when we say we will. She’s also the reason our trucks have hand sanitizer.
DeShawn B., Apprentice Technician
DeShawn joined the team two years ago after a career shift from commercial roofing, so he already understood ladder safety and steep-pitch work before he ever touched a chimney brush. He’s currently working toward his own CSIA certification and handles most of the camera-assisted inspections under Javier’s supervision. DeShawn is detail-oriented in a way that matters, meaning he labels every photo he sends so you know exactly which flue section you’re looking at. On his days off he coaches youth basketball in Converse.
One Standard, Every Job
Every member of the San Antonio team operates under The Relay Standard, which means the same transparency rules apply whether it’s a routine sweep or a full liner replacement. You get a written price before work starts, not a verbal estimate with a shrug. You get The Relay Visibility Guarantee on every visit: live arrival tracking, before-and-after photos you keep, and digital invoicing with line-item detail. If a repair fails within 365 days, we come back free under our written guarantee. That’s the standard, and nobody on this crew gets to skip it. The materials we install come from names we trust: DuraFlex for flexible liners, HeatShield for ceramic flue repair, plus Gelco, Olympia Chimney, Famco, and Copperfield accessories. Not whatever’s cheapest on the truck. When you book Hadley Chimney San Antonio, you get a real person on the phone, a tracked arrival window, and a tech who treats your fireplace like it were their own. Because half the time, one of them probably lives within fifteen minutes of you.
